OUR OBJECTIVES FOR 2023

Forestry Investments
Our aim is to increase the forest lands to 30% of our country land (23 million hectare) in
the 100th year of our Republic.

50% of our country’s forests are planned to be certified.

We are planning to carry out erosion control and planting works in all the catchments.

Water Investments
Our aim is to open all of the 8.5 million hectare economically irrigable lands to irrigation
in 2023. When 65 Big Irrigation Projects are put into use which are planned to be
completed until the year of 2018, 2.276.195 hectare agricultural land will be irrigated.

Cities in our country will be provided with drinking water which will be enough until the
year of 2053 with the Drinking Water Action Plans.

We are planning to increase the hydroelectric installed power from 20.800 MW to 50.000
MW; we are also planning to put 126 billion kilowatt hour which is 90% of the 140 billion
kilowatt hour technical hydroelectric potential in to use.
