labor force, which is a must for the
defense industry.

What should be done in order for Turkey to
become “Global Power” in defense industry?
What do you recommend for defense industry?
In the leadership of SSB (Presidency of Defense
Industry) and Foundation companies, with a
national contribution rate of 70%, Turkey is
progressing rapidly in the defense industry.
We are taking firm steps towards becoming a
global power. Naturally, the first thing to do in
this scope is to increase exports. Recently, we
are observing an increasein initiatives launched
especially by Foundation companies. Private
sector companies whoh made a significant
contribution to the defense industry’s progress
till now, should also show the same effort in this
context, and SSB should facilitate coordination
between these companies. As long as you are
able to compete globally, it is possible to say
that you have a sustainable industry. In parallel
with this, it is necessary to concentrate on
providing qualified labor force, which is a must
for the defense industry. Especially in terms of
university-industry cooperation, we are one
step behind the developed countries. We should
