announcement systems, ship/submarine
entertainment systems in accordance with
military standards. These products are still
used by Land and Naval Forces. Over the
years, gateway systems, handheld military
computers, inertial navigation devices, and
serial-IP gateway devices in accordance
with military standards have been added to
our product range under different projects.
We developed the engine control unit of
domestically manufactured PD170 engine
of Anka developed by TEI. We also develop
the “Back-ıp Flight Instrument” for Hürkuş
manufactured by TAI.
TAG102 In parallel with this, in our production
facilities, we provide high volume electronic
card manufacturing and complete device
production services for Defense Industry
companies.
In 2019, we will continue to invest in this
industry by enhancing our design staff and
production capability and capacity. We will
also take further steps for entering foreign
markets. Our main goal for 2023 is to reach
an export figure equal to 30% of our defense
industry revenue.

What are your thoughts about Presidency of
Defense Industry which was brought under
the roof of Presidency of the Republic last
year and celebrated its 34th anniversary in
2019?
In my opinion, SSB’s works are very
successful and valuable. When we consider
the current status of defense industry,
DS200T the biggest contributor is SSB. I think that
SSB’s achievements in terms of domestic
contribution in defense industry should set an
example for other industries. Especially public
enterprises which aren’t a part of defense
industry but make large volume of purchases
from abroad should consider localization in
the ligh of SSB’s success stories.defense
industry..
Is there anything you would like to add?
For cutting down on our foreign trade
deficit Turkey has to increase the share of
technological products in its total foreign
sales. The defense industry, leading the
technological developments and domestic

context.
