             DEVELOPMENT OF FOURTH GENERATION (4G / LTE) COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

            Within the scope of the project;
            1. Commercial / Public Security 4.5G (LTE Advanced)
            Base Station
            2. Tetra Base Station and LTE / TETRA / APCO / DMR
            Integration
            3. LTE Based Military Communication System
            R&D studies are carried out.                                  Thus,  4.5  G   communication
                                                                          technologies will be developed with
                                                                          national  facilities and capabilities.
                                                                          The Protocol of Intent for the use
                                                                          of  the ULAK base station in  the
                                                                          Public Security and Emergency
                                                                          Communication   infrastructures,
                                                                          has been signed between ASELSAN
                                                                          and SSB.

             DEVELOPMENT OF CARBON FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC (THERMOSET RESIN) IN AEROSPACE APPLICATIONS




                                                                        Prepregs, with epoxy resin matrix system
                                                                        and woven, multiaxial and unidirectional
                                                                        (UD)  carbon fiber  reinforcement, for
                                                                        aerospace and defense industries are
                                                                        developed and qualified within the scope
                                                                        of the Project. Export license restricted
                                                                        carbon   fiber  prepreg   production
                                                                        accomplished domestically.
                                                                        Wing Spar of  ANKA is designed and
                                                                        manufactured   using  the  materials
                                                                        developed in the Project and structural
                                                                        static tests are performed.

             DEVELOPMENT OF NICKEL BASED SUPERALLOY MATERIALS AND PRODUCTION PROCESSES IN AEROSPACE APPLICATIONS

                                                                        Improved casting process and efficient
                                                                        design  of  air-cooling  of  turbine
                                                                        blades  are  required  for  higher  inlet
                                                                        temperatures.  The aim of  the Project
                                                                        is to gain the production processes for
                                                                        nickel-based superalloys with improved
                                                                        high-temperature  performance   for
                                                                        long-life  gas  turbine  engines  and  to
                                                                        apply them in turbine engines.
                                                                        Scope of the project includes; air-cooled
                                                                        turbine blade design, single crystal
                                                                        casting, directional solidification, heat
                                                                        treatment, surface coating and drilling
                                                                        processes for turbine blades.
                                                                        System   Requirements  Phase   and
                                                                        Process Development activities are
                                                                        continuing. Prototype Manufacturing
                                                                        Phase  will start, after completion of
                                                                        these activities.
