OMTAS

            MEDIUM RANGE ANTI-TANK WEAPON SYSTEM

OMTAS is designed as an anti-tank missile system
developed for launching via a tripod in a composite
tube that can be carried by the infantry to increase
their defense and attack power against armored
units as well possessing the appropriate features for
use in land platforms. Developed by ROKETSAN A.Ş.,
OMTAS is a medium range anti-tank weapon system
with an infrared seeker and 4 km of pre- and post-
            firing locking system and fire-forget/fire-update
features used against armored targets from surface
to surface. This nationally developed weapon system
basically encompasses a complete round missile, a
firing platform, a fire control-surveillance unit and
a fire control-control unit as well as transport boxes
            and a training simulator.

            CİRİT

            LASER GUIDED MISSILE

CIRIT is a cost-effective solution system with high
precision against light armored/unarmored fixed /
mobile targets that can be integrated into various
platforms such as helicopters, UAVs, land vehicles,
stationary platforms, light attack aircrafts and naval
platforms, and is designed to fill the gap between
the low-cost and low-precision unguided missiles
and the high-cost anti-tank missiles. Compared to
the classic 2.75” laser-guided missiles, CIRIT, with
a range of 8 km, maintains the title of the longest-
range fuselage in its class thanks to its aerodynamic
structure and composite solid-fuel engine. Two
alternative warheads that are multi-purpose and
have a high-explosive capacity can be fitted to the
CIRIT missile that has the ability to destroy moving
and light armored/unarmored targets. While the
first alternative, defined as the multi-purpose
warhead, has armor penetrating, incendiary and
anti-personnel effects, the second alternate is
defined as having a fragmentation effect only. Serial
production of the CIRIT missile began in 2010 and is
attracting great interest in foreign markets.
              SOM-J

              CRUISE MISSILE - F-35 INTEGRATION
The Joint Strike Fighter F-35s can carry 4 pieces of SOM-J
standoff(cruise) missiles in its body developed to allow pilots to hit
targets at long range distances while maintaining critical invisibility
during stealth flights. Especially designed to be used against intensely
protected land and sea targets, the SOM-J missile has a 185-km
range. Flying very low within this altitude and without being detected
by a radar, the SOM-J, by monitoring ground shapes with its navigation
system, can hit its target with a high strike rate. The SOM-J, with its
high-resolution viewer and infra-red seeker head, provides sensitive
targeting and allows for target change subsequent to the strike with
the coordination of airborne warning control aircrafts. In the same way,
changes in the target strike angle and approach altitude are possible
during the flight. Developed to withstand electronic jamming measures,
the SOM-J missile is one of the most important strike forces of the F-35
fighter aircraft that will be used by many allied countries also including
            Turkey as a project partner.
