Since the personal information of our people and service-related confidential information of our
state began to be processed and carried in the electronic medium, we give particular importance
to information security. Thus we established Cyber Security Board with the goal of taking the
determined precautions and ensuring coordination besides determining the precautions that need
to be taken regarding cyber security. And we prepared National Cyber Security Strategy Document
and Action Plan that will cover the procedures and principles that will enable securing the
information and data belonging to the Cyber Security Board, public institutions and organizations.

When all these are considered, the things achieved and being achieved, our country will be one
of the example countries in the world with its modern communications network and advanced
communications infrastructure.

However we are all marathon runners. We should continue to run towards the future without
slowing down, being overcome by languor, and throwing caution and discipline to the wind. And
the Council of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications that will be held for the 11th
time this year will enable us to review and revise our goals, set new goals for Turkey and discuss
our next step for making 21st Century the century of Turkey. Moreover the decisions taken in this
council will shed a light to the future of Turkey.
